«I always reinvent my musical language»

A portrait of composer Regina Irman

Christine Fischer
Regina Irman (* 1957) has let her artistically versatile tone resound in the New Music Scene of Switzerland since her first compositions in the 1980s. Often it is stimulation by other works of art that compels her to compose, write texts or produce works of fine art. What characteristics of her work have been preserved, which ones have changed? A look back. But also look at one of her recent projects, Locus solus; here she plays on virtual grounds with electronic compositions – a work in progress.
